The Con (2014)
Visual essay first published in TDR 58:2 (T222), backlit film on lightbox, 36”x48”
This work is composed of a text, which examines the figure of the con, and an image of cupped hands, which evokes the movements of a shell game. Together, they constitute a visual essay that analyzes the various mechanisms that “adjust us to taking a loss” within the framework of capitalism.
